FRANK AMERICA is the only manufacturer of dismountable hoods and displays. This unique system is called the FRANK system and automatically prolongs the life-span of a display because all parts are replaceable, and can be dismounted and safely stored. FRANK only uses the highest quality materials for its products. That is why the acrylic only comes from Europe and is automatically UV-protected … at similar prices of basic non-UV acrylic in US. The FRANK products are completely fabricated and assembled in our NEW warehouse in the Washington area (made in America), but, let’s be fair, the engineering and know-how are purely “made in Germany”.
Our Materials:
Our Standard Acrylic (PMMA)
Frank only uses imported European acrylic that is always UV protected. Additionally we use, Astariglas Eco Cast, a new innovation of high quality recycled and recyclable cast acrylic sheet. The environmentally friendly product is more than 92% translucent and visually completely equivalent to traditional cast acrylic.
HPL(Black/White)
HPL is a manufactured composite material. It consists of printed decoration paper fused to multiple sheets (6-8 pieces) of Kraft paper saturated with a synthetic thermosetting resin. A curing or thermosetting process combines the sheets using heat and high pressure (more than 1,000 PSI) to form flexible, single, high-density laminate sheets.
PLEXIGLAS® Satinice Snow
PLEXIGLAS® Satinice is pleasant to touch thanks to its velvety and warm surface. The sheets provide discreet light diffusion and come with one or both sides in a limited variety of colours. Due to its also light structure, scratches are invisible. The most used variant is the white translucent one called “opal”with number WH10DC.
Polycarbonate (PC)
Polycarbonate is a very strong material, 10x stronger than acrylic. Polycarbonate can undergo large plastic deformations without cracking or breaking and is considered to be almost unbreakable. PC can be offered with UV-coating. the special coating allows using the material outside for a period of maximum 7 years.
Aluminum Frank Extrusions (Patented)
The FRANK system features our unrivalled slide-in technology. It requires no screws, glue or gaskets for dust-proof and airtight storage and preservation. Simply insert the aluminum extrusions into the grooves machined in the edges of the panels. No wider than the two 6 or 8-millimetre panels’ connecting joint, these slim extrusions are flush with the surface when installed. Most important of all, they provide a precise-fitting connection with the stability of a permanent joint and the flexibility of a quick-release fixture that enables easy disassembly. They also can be closed and secured with a special plug (+ special key).

Lifetime Acrylic is a next-level glazing product for the display case, signage and picture framing industry; designed for the most precious artworks and memorabilia. This anti-static and shatter resistant product significantly reduces reflections, as well as provides up to 100% protection from UV rays. This solution provides less weight but offers supreme clarity and maximum physical protection, better than non-reflective glass! It is available in 6 mm for displays but also in 3 and 4.5 mm for picture framing. This product will be a “première” and will be launched for the first time both in Europe and USA in spring 2024.
